Featuring a screenplay by Cormac McCarthy, the movie will center on a lawyer who attempts to get into the drug business. The cast will also include Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Michael Fassbender, and Brad Pitt.

Perez's Broadway credits include The Ritz, Reckless, and Frankie and Johnnie in the Clair de Lune, and she most recently appeared Off-Broadway this past season in MTC's production of Close Up Space. The actress received an Academy Award nomination for Fearless.
