Benedict Cumberbatch Lends Voice to FOX’s The Simpsons

Olivier Award winner Benedict Cumberbatch will lend his voice to an upcoming episode of FOX’s animated series, The Simpsons, according to TVLine.com.

According to the site, he will play both the British Prime Minister and a snake-like character in an episode titled “Love Is A Many-Splintered Thing.”


Cumberbatch won an Olivier for his performance Frankenstein and received an Olivier nomination for the Almeida Theatre’s 2005 revival of Hedda Gabler.


His film credits include Atonement, Amazing Grace, Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy, and The Other Boleyn Girl and War Horse. He is also well known for playing the title role of the Sherlock television series.
