Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner to Co-Star in Film About Mel Weinberg

Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, and Jeremy Renner will-co-star in David O. Russell’s untitled drama about con artist Mel Weinberg, according to The Hollywood Reporter.


Cooper will play Weinberg, who worked with the FBI in a far-reaching corruption case that stretched from Atlantic City to Washington, D.C; Adams will play Maxine “Max” Gardner, mistress and co-conspirator of Weinberg, and Renner will portray he ambitious FBI agent.


Adams is about to make her New York theatrical debut in the Public Theater’s production of Into the Woods. Cooper is about to star in the Williamstown Theatre Festival’s production of The Elephant Man and his other stage credits include Three Days of Rain and The Understudy.


Renner received an Oscar nomination for The Hurt Locker and will soon be on the big screen in The Bourne Legacy. He has been rumored to be considering coming to Broadway in a revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
