Alicia Keys to Perform at 2012 MTV Music Video Awards

Grammy Award winner and Broadway producer/composer Alicia Keys will perform at the 2012 MTV Music Video Awards, to air on September 6.
R&B superstar Usher, who appeared in Broadway’s Chicago, received a nomination for Best Male Video for “Climax.”
Rihanna and Drake each received five nominations, while other nominees include Katy Perry, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Gotye, Chris Brown, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and One Direction, who will also perform on the telecast.
Keys produced Lydia R. Diamond’s Stick Fly last season on Broadway and also wrote original music for the show.
