Wes Bentley, Angus Macfadyen, Julian Sands, et al. Set for Hirokin Film

Theater veterans Wes Bentley, Angus Macfadyen, and Julian Sands will be among the stars of the upcoming independent film, Hirokin, according to Variety.

Written and directed by Alejo Mo-Sun, this post-apocalyptic drama centers on a reluctant hero (Bentley) who must choose between avenging the murder of his family or fighting for the freedom of a people long abused. The film will also feature Gossip Girl‘s Jessica Szohr and Laura Ramsey.

Bentley appeared Off-Broadway last season in Venus in Fur, and is perhaps best known for his role as Ricky Fitts in the film American Beauty. Macfadyen recently appeared opposite Annette Bening in a Los Angeles production of Medea, while Sands also appeared with Bening in LA, in Female of the Species.
