Donald Sinden, Giselle Wolf and More Set for 2009 California International Theatre Festival

The California International Theatre Festival has announced their 2009 season of events, to be performed in multiple venues in Calabasas, California.

Moby Dick – Ishmael’s Tale, an adaptation of Herman Melville’s novel by Conor Lovett and Judy Hegarty Lovett, will play August 20 in the Carlson Family Theatre at Viewpoint School. Conor Lovett will perform this version of Captian Ahab’s epic journey, directed by Judy Hegarty Lovett. An Evening with…Sir Donald Sinden will play August 21 at the City of Calabasas Outdoor Amphitheatre. Sinden will discuss his long career in an intimate evening full of anecdotes from a lifetime of experiences on stage, on television, and in film.

Ofer Amram Company of Tel Aviv will present A Tale of a Lonely Man, August 22 in the Carlson Family Theatre at Viewpoint School. This chamber play fairytale tells the story of a man with no knowledge of his past who creates a life-size doll of a woman to share his invented memories of happiness. London cabaret artist Giselle Wolf will sing songs from her repertoire, August 22 at Founders Hall. The festival will close with A Taste of Calabasas meets Cafe Burlesq-O! on August 23 at the Riviera Restaurant and Lounge. The evening will include celebrity performances and a banquet prepared by chef Tommaso Barletta.
