Actors Co-op Announces 2009-2010 Season

Actors Co-op has announced their 2009-2010 season, set to include five productions.

The season will open with Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn in the Crossley Theatre, September 25-November 1, the Tony Award winning musical based on Mark Twain’s novel of adventures along the Mississippi, to be directed by Richard Israel. Sherlock’s Last Case by Charles Marowitz will open in the Crossley Terrace Theatre, October 16-November 22, a murder mystery where Sherlock Holmes is possibly the victim. Jeremy Lewit will direct. Freddy Wyatt Christmas Spectacular will play the Crossley Terrace Theatre, December 2-14, Stephen Van Dorn’s staged version of a 1962 Christmas spectacular on a 1962 TV variety show hosted by the infamous Freddy Wyatt. Van Dorn will direct.

Wit by Margaret Edson will also play in the Crossley Terrace Theatre with Marianne Savell at the helm, February 19-March 28, the Pulitzer Prize winning drama about a woman confronting her own mortality. The season will close with The Philadelphia Story by Philip Barry, April 23-May 30, to be directed by Douglas Clayton in the Crossley Terrace Theatre. The romantic comedy centers on a socialite attempting to sort out the loves of her life.
