Nick Offerman, Kerry Washington to Announce Primetime Emmy Awards Nominations

Broadway veteran Kerry Washington will join Parks and Recreations‘ Nick Offerman and Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Chairman-CEO, Bruce Rosenblum, to announce the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations at the Television Academy’s Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood on July 19. Spike Jones Jr. is producing the nominations telecast, which is scheduled for 5:40am PST.

The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony will take place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, September 23 and be aired live on ABC.

Washington starred on Broadway in David Mamet’s Race. Among her film credits are Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls, based on Ntozake Shange’s award-winning 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf, as well as We the Peoples, A Thousand Words, Night Catches Us, and Mother and Child. She currently stars as Olivia Pope on the ABC series, Scandal.
