Larry Hochman, Doug Katsarsos, Bill Schemerhorn Win Daytime Emmy Awards

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the winners of the 39th Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday, June 17 at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles. The show was hosted by Byron Allen.


Winners include actress June Foray for her voice work on The Garfield Show; composers Larry Hochman and Josh Selig and music director Jeffrey Lesser for Nickelodeon’s The Wonder Pets; composer Adam Berry and lyricist Brandon Sawyer for the song “In the Happy Little Land of Hoboken Surprise” from Nickelodeon’s Penguins of Madagascar; and composer Doug Katsaros and lyricist Bill Schermerhorn for the song “(Won’t You) Join Our Parade” from the 85th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.


Among the many series that were honored were Sesame Street, The Electric Company, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.


As previously reported, the remainder of the Daytime Emmy Awards will be presented on Saturday, June 23 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, beginning at 8pm, and aired live on HLN.
