Jesse Eisenberg, Carla Gugino, Natalie Portman, Daniel Radcliffe, et al. Recieve FOX Teen Choice Award Nominations

The nominees for FOX’s 2011 Teen Choice Awards have been announced. The winners will be announced in a ceremony that will be broadcast live on the network on August 7.

Theater notables abound in the myriad categories for the awards. In the Movie Actress, Action category, the nominees include Rosario Dawson for her performance in Unstoppable and Carla Gugino for Faster. Daniel Radcliffe, for his work in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1, is also a nominee in the Movie Actor, Sci-Fi/Fantasy category. Nominees in the actor and actress, drama categories are such stage veterans as Bradley Cooper, Jesse Eisenberg and Natalie Portman, who has also been nominated in the Movie Actress, Romantic Comedy category for her turn in No Strings Attached.

The Teen Choice Award nominations for films also include such unique categories as “Liplock” where Radcliffe and Emma Watson are nominees and “Villain,” where the nominees include Kevin Bacon, Tom Felton, and Ian McShane.

In television categories, the nominees include Hugh Laurie, nominated for TV Actor, Drama for his work on House and Anna Paquin, nominated in the TV Actress, Sci-Fi/Fantasy category, for True Blood. In addition, stage veterans Ty Burrell (Modern Family) and Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) are nominated in the TV Actor, Comedy category, as is Glee‘s Cory Monteith. Glee is also represented with a nomination for Jane Lynch (“Villain”), ones for Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, and Mark Salling, all of whom received “Scene Stealer” nominations, and one in the Teen Choice Music categories for best Group.

Other artists who have received nominations include Johnny Depp, Will Ferrell, Andrew Garfield, Anne Hathaway, and Ashton Kutcher.
