Joanne Whalley to Join James Marsters, Adam Godley, et al. in LATW’s She Stoops to Conquer

Joanne Whalley will join the cast for the Los Angeles Theatre Works’ presentation of Oliver Goldsmith’s She Stoops to Conquer, or The Mistakes of the Night, to be presented June 16-20 as part of their “The Play’s The Thing” radio series at the Skirball Cultural Center. Whalley replaces the previously announced Emily Bergl in the performances, which will be directed by Martin Jarvis.

The company will also feature James Marsters, Adam Godley, Rosalind Ayres, Julian Holloway, Paula Jane Newman, Ian Ogilvy, Darren Richardson, Moira Quirk and Matthew Wolf.

The romantic comedy follows an ever-increasing series of misconceptions and mistaken identities for a young man and his prospective fiancé.
