Alan Blumenfeld to Star in The Miser at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum

Alan Blumenfeld will star as Harpagon in Moliere’s The Miser, at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, July 25-September 27. Ellen Geer will direct.

In this comic tale, when an old widower decides to marry off his children against their will, he sets the entire family scheming to steal his fortune. This production is set during the French Renaissance and features original songs composed by Geer with lyrics by Geer and Peter Alsop.

The cast will also include Ted Barton, Bill Durham, Samara Frame, Willow Geer, Nina Kurtz, Mark Lewis, Raymond Lynch, Melora Marshall, Mike Peebler and Chad Jason Scheppner.

Blumenfeld’s credits at the Theatricum span 25 years, including Falstaff in Merry Wives Of Windsor (LA Drama Critics Circle Award ); Kent in King Lear; and Shylock in Merchant Of Venice. His film and TV credits include Heroes, Gilmore Girls, and 2gether.
