Almendilla, Phillips, Porter, Steele, Stern Set for Rubicon’s It’s Only Life

Joan Almendilla, Jessica Phillips, Billy Porter, Lucas Steele, and Jamison Stern will star in the Rubicon Theatre’s production of the John Bucchino musical revue It’s Only Life, June 19-July 23. The production, which opens officially on June 21, is directed and co-conceived by Daisy Prince.

Bucchino is currently represented on Broadway by the musical A Catered Affair. He is also the composer of such popular songs as “Sweet Dreams” and “Grateful,” and the one-act musical Lavender Girl. He received the inaugural Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theater songwriters.

The creative team includes Brent Canyon (musical direction), Bruce Coughlin (orchestrations), Beowulf Boritt (set design), and Elizabeth Cox (costumes).

The show was previously presented in New York at the Summer Play Festival and as part of Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series, and was recorded by PS Classics.
