Killer Joe, To Rome With Love Set for Los Angeles Film Festival

William Friedkin will be the guest artistic director of the Los Angeles Film Festival, which runs June 14 through June 24,and will screen more than 200 features, shorts, and music videos from more than 30 countries.


Friedkin will be on hand for the June 15 screening of Killer Joe, his film adapation of Tracy Letts’ play, which stars Matthew McConaughey, Gina Gershon, and Emile Hirsch.

Oscar winner and Broadway veteran Woody Allen’s newest film, To Rome With Love, will open the festival. The film, which stars Allen along with Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penelope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig and Ellen Page, follows a group of people living in Italy.
