The film is the story of a scientist (Sewell) who disappears while on a business trip, to the distress of his (Anderson, Osment, and Garber). Years later, a shocking discovery is made about his whereabouts.

I'll Follow You Down is written and directed by Richie Mehta and serves as a follow-up to his earlier film Amal.

Anderson's credits include A Doll's House, and the television seriesThe X-Files. Osment starred in the Broadway revival of American Buffalo and was nominated for an Oscar for his work in the film The Sixth Sense. Sewell received a Tony Award nomination for his work in Tom Stoppard's Rock n' Roll. Garber's Broadway credits include Present Laughter and Damn Yankees, and he has been seen on television in Alias and Eli Stone.
