California Repertory Company to Present Joanne Gordon’s B.S.: Bukowski.Sondheim.
California Repertory Company will open its 24th season with B.S.: Bukowski.Sondheim., conceived and directed by Joanne Gordon, in the Queen Mary’s Royal Theater, to run November 2-December 8.
The piece will fuse the works of Charles Bukowski and the music and lyrics of Stephen Sondheim. Gordon is the creator of three other Bukowski theater events, including Love, Bukowski, and has directed many Sondheim productions. Her books include Art Isn’t Easy: The Theatre of Stephen Sondheim and edited Stephen Sondheim: A Casebook.
