Theater veterans Orlando Bloom and Stanley Tucci will co-star alongside Nick Nolte and Cristiana Capotondi in the upcoming film, Idea in America, according to published reports.

Written and directed by Cecilia Miniucchi, the film is described as a coming-of-age road trip comedy, and will center on a young Italian ornithologist.

Bloom made his West End debut in 2007 in a revival of David Storey’s In Celebration. Among his many films are Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings, Blackhawk Down, Elizabethtown, and Love and Other Disasters.

Tucci directed the 2010 Broadway revival of Lend Me a Tenor, and starred on Broadway in Frankie & Johnnie in the Clair de Lune. He received a 2010 Oscar nomination for The Lovely Bones, and has appeared in numerous films including Julie and Julia and The Devil Wears Prada. As previously reported, he will be playing Caesar Flickerman in the forthcoming film adaptation of The Hunger Games.
