Margaret Cho to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at LA Pride; Play Edinburgh Fringe and Launch UK Tour

Margaret Cho will receive the Morris Knight Lifetime Achievement Award from Christopher Street West at this year’s LA Pride Celebration, to be held June 10-12. The award recognizes an individual whose lifetime of work has left a lasting major imprint on the LGBT community.

In related news, Cho will play the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, August 3-29 prior to embarking upon a UK tour. Scheduled engagements include London’s Leicester Theatre (October 13-15) and the Brighton Comedy Festival (October 16), with additional cities to be announced. She will be performing new stand-up and comedy songs from her 2011 double Grammy-nominated album, Cho Dependent.

Cho has toured extensively in numerous solo shows, including I’m the One That I Want, Notorius C.H.O., Revolution, State of Emergency, and Assassin. She also starred in the burlesque variety show, The Sensuous Woman. Cho currently co-stars in the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva, with previous TV credits including starring in the ABC sitcom All-American Girl and competing in the11th season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.
