Hal Holbrook, Marilu Henner, Sean Penn Set for Los Angeles Tony Awards Party Fundraiser

Marilu Henner will host the Actors Fund’s 15th Annual Tony Awards Party in Los Angeles, to be held at the Skirball Center on Sunday, June 12, beginning at 3:30pm. In addition, Sean Penn will present the 2011 Julie Harris Award for Lifetime Achievement, which as previously reported, will be given to Hal Holbrook.

The fundraising gala features the only approved live feed of the Tony Awards as they happen in New York. This year’s honorary celebrity committee includes Linda Bloodworth-Thomanson, Carol Burnett, Phyllis Diller, Jerry Herman, Ken Howard, Judith Ivy, Angela Lansbury, Annie Potts, Brian Stokes-Mitchell, Holland Taylor, Harry Thomasom and John Wells.

Holbrook won the Tony for the solo show Mark Twain Tonight, with which he continues to tour. His many other Broadway credits include An American Daughter, Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie?, I Never Sang for My Father, and The Apple Tree. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Into the Wild. In addition, Holbrook is a five-time Emmy Award winner; his many television credits include Lincoln, Evening Shade, Designing Women, and Sons of Anarchy.
