Stage and television star Annie Potts will once again star in Elliot Shoenman’s comedic drama AfterMath, which will play a return engagement at the Matrix Theatre, beginning May 21. Mark L. Taylor will also repeat his duties as director for the production.

The play concerns a widow trying to help her family deal with the mess her husband left behind when he jumped into the Hudson River.

The cast also includes Meredith Bishop, Michael Mantell, and Daniel Taylor, all of whom are reprising their roles which they originated in the show’s world premiere at the Odyssey Theatre earlier this year.

The creative team features Gary Guidinger (sets), Linda Serian-Fasmer (costumes), Jeremy Pivnick (lighting), Bennett Barbakow (sound/original music), Matt George (original music), and Adam Flemming (production design).

Potts starred as Annette in the Broadway production of God of Carnage, and her other stage credits include Diva, A Little Night Music, and Love Letters. She is well known for her work on the television series Designing Women, Any Day Now, and Love and War.
