Jay Johnson: The Two and Only to Play Laguna Playhouse in June

The Tony Award-winning production of Jay Johnson: The Two and Only will play a limited engagement at the Laguna Playhouse, June 11-20. Murphy Cross and Paul Kreppel have directed the production.
In the piece, Johnson interweaves autobiography with the history of ventriloquism, along the way delivering a series of classic puppet routines.
The performer first gained fame on the hit sitcom Soap. The Two and Only originally ran Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theatre in 2004 and later played San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston before arriving at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway, where it ran for two months and won the 2007 Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event.
