Ensler's new play explores consumption and politics, and concerns a 25-year-old Harvard drop-out and environmentalist whose world is sent spinning off its axis when her mother decides to run for a U.S. Senate seat. The cast will also include Brenda Currin, Greg Itzin, Ravi Kapoor, Analeis Lorig, Liz Mikels, Lee Pace, and Andrea Riseborough.
Channing is currently Tony-nominated for playing Vera Simpson in Pal Joey. She won a Tony Award for Joe Egg, and received additional Tony nominations for The House of Blue Leaves, Six Degrees of Separation, Four Baboons Adoring the Sun and The Lion in Winter.
