Ovation TV to Premiere Harold Prince Documentary

Ovation TV will present the world premiere of Mr. Prince, an original documentary celebrating the life and career of Tony Award winning director and producer Harold Prince. It will debut June 6 at 8 pm ET/PT.

The program, produced and directed by Sara Feldman Sheehan and Bobby Sheehan, will feature interviews with such Broadway luminaries as Carol Burnett, Stephen Sondheim, Joel Grey, Angela Lansbury, Chita Rivera, and Mandy Patinkin, as well as Prince himself.

Beginning June 7, Ovation TV will also present Music of the Night: Broadway on Ovation TV, a week-long tribute to Broadway, featuring film versions of shows such as Victor/Victoria, Music Man, New York, New York, and more.

Prince is the winner of a record 20 Tony Awards in addition to a Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement. He is also a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors and the National Medal for the Arts. Among his many directorial credits are Candide, Company, Evita, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, and The Phantom of the Opera. He is currently working on Paradise Found, a grand-scale musical, with co-direction and choreography by Tony Award winning Susan Stroman, and also include in its cast and creative team Richard Nelson, Ellen Fitzhugh, Jonathan Tunick, John Cullum, and Mandy Patinkin, in addition to music by Johann Strauss II.
