John O’Hurley, Merle Dandrige, et al, Set for Monty Python’s Spamalot at L.A.’s Ahmanson Theatre

Full casting has been announced for L.A.’s Ahmanson Theater’s production of Monty Python’s Spamalot, to run July 7-September 6. The production is directed by Mike Nichols.

As previously announced, John O’Hurley will star as King Arthur. The cast will also feature Merle Dandridge (The Lady of the Lake), James Beaman (Sir Robin), Ben Davis (Sir Dennis Galahad), Jeff Dumas (Patsy), Rick Holmes (Sir Lancelot until August 2), Matthew Greer (Sir Lancelot after August 2), Christopher Gurr (Sir Bedevere), Christopher Sutton (Not Dead Fred/Prince Herbert), along with Matt Allen, Graham Bowen, Nigel Columbus, Timothy Connell, Cara Cooper, Lenny Daniel, Alexa Glover, David Havasi, Erik Hayden, Sarah Lin Johnson, Carissa Lopez, and Jennifer Mathie.

The Ahmanson season will also include the national tours of Tracy Letts’ August: Osage County (September 8-October 18); Mary Poppins (November 3-January 10); Dreamgirls (February 24-April 4); and South Pacific (June 29-August 22). Prior to the official season opening, the Ahmanson will also present An Evening With Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin (June 23-28).
