Cast Announced for Santa Monica Production of Psycho Beach Party

The Santa Monica Theatre Guild will host a production of Psycho Beach Party, at the Morgan Wixson Theatre. Performances will run April 28-May 20. William Wilday will direct.

Psycho Beach Party is a mash-up of the movies Beach Party and Psycho (with Gidget thrown in for good measure). In it, the virginal Chicklet is a cute beach bunny who wants to be a true surfer girl, riding the waves along with the dudes. Can she overcome the fellas’ opposition to a girl on a surfboard while dealing with her own multiple personality disorder?

The company for Psycho Beach Party will include Heidi Appe, Natalia Barzilai, Sergio Christofalo, Joe Colajezzi, Taylor D’Andrea, Isaac Deakyne, Tim Herzog, Caitlin Jemison, A.Leslie Kies, Emily Kottler, Peter Kurzner and Nicole Marie White.

Psycho Beach Party was written by Charles Busch and will feature sets by Thomas Brown and costumes by Ruth Talley.
