Eight cast members from the hit television series The Waltons reunited to celebrate the publication of Mary McDonough's Lessons From the Mountain: What I Learned From Erin Walton, at a book signing event held at Book Soup in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 16.

McDonough, who played Erin Walton on the show, was joined by her television parents , Michael Learned (Olivia Walton/Momma) and Ralph Waite (John Walton Sr.), as well as David Harper (Jim Bob Walton), Judy Norton (Mary Ellen Walton), Jon Walmsley (Jason Walton) Eric Scott (Ben Walton) and Kami Cotler (Elizabeth Walton).

Broadway veteran Richard Thomas, who played John Boy Walton on the series, was unable to attend due to commitments in New York, but sent a note, praising McDonough, and reading: "Her intelligence, wit and insight guarantee that she will tell her story and ours in a moving and delightful way. Also, her status as a successful child performer qualifies her on the fascinating subject of children in show business."
