Jeff Bridges, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rosie O’Donnell, Tony Shalhoub, et al. Receive 2010 PRISM Awards

The 14th annual PRISM Awards — which honor actors, movies, music, media and television shows that accurately depict and bring attention to substance abuse and mental health issues — were held on April 22, at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.

Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal were both awarded for their performance in the feature film Crazy Heart. Tony Shalhoub, currently on Broadway in Lend me a Tenor, received a “Performance in a Comedy Series” award for Monk, as did his TV show castmate, Hector Elizondo. Rosie O’Donnell won a “Performance in a TV Movie or Miniseries” award for America.

Other shows that were honored include How I Met Your Mother, Grey’s Anatomy, One Life to Live, and Prayers for Bobby.
