The 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards-Los Angeles were held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on April 17. Wilson Cruz and Candis Cayne hosted the event,.

Winners announced last evening included Octavio Solis’ Lydia for Outstanding Los Angeles Theatre; Glee for Outstanding Comedy Series, A Single Man for Ourstanding Film (Wide Release), and RuPaul’s Drag Race for Outstanding Reality Program.

GLAAD also homored actress and producer Drew Barrymore with the Vanguard Award, and comedian Wanda Sykes with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award.

The GLAAD Media Awards are designed to “elevate and promote fair, accurate and inclusive stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues, people and allies that have increased awareness, understanding and respect for the lives of LGBT people.”
