Trying, Starring Alan Mandell, to Return to Colony Theatre

The award-winning Colony Theatre Company production of Trying will return to the Colony Theatre for a limited engagement, May 15-May 25. Written by Joanna McClelland Glass, this production will be directed by Cameron Watson.

Based on the playwright’s own real-life experience, Trying tells the story of Sarah Schorr’s position as secretary to Francis Biddle, an aging legend, and the friendship that develops between them.

The cast will feature Alan Mandell — who won the Ovation Award, Garland Award, and LA Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the play — and Rebecca Mozo, both of whom are reprising their roles from the Colony’s 2007 production.

The creative team will include Cricket Myers (sound design), Victoria Profitt (set design), Jared Sayeg (lighting design), and A. Jeffrey Schoenberg (costume design).
