LA Stage Alliance to Present LA Stage Talks

LA Stage Alliance is to present LA Stage Talks, a series of free panel discussions exploring the creation of performing arts in Southern California, moderated by CEO Terence McFarland.

The series’ first discussion will take place March 27 at 10am at the Kirk Douglas Theatre and ask the question: What is the Intrinsic Impact of Live Theatre? Panel members will include researcher Alan Brown, researcher Clayton Lord, Theatre @ Boston Court artistic director Jessica Kubzansky, Musical Theatre West marketing director Michael Betts, and South Coast Repertory director of marketing Bil Schroader.

Future topics for discussion include: Arts Criticism – How Does It Serve Los Angeles? (April 30 at 7pm at KPCC Crawford Family Forum), Why Are Theatre-Makers the Masters of Collaboration? (May 14 at 7pm at Inside the Ford), What Is Artistic Direction and How Can You Tell When Someone Is Doing It? (June 11 at 7pm at the Geffen Playhouse), and What Am I Hearing? The Aural Life of the Theatre (July 9 at 7pm at Zipper Hall).
