Judy Collins, Holly Hughes, Tim Miller, Lily Tomlin Set for Carpenter Performing Arts Center’s 2012-2013 Season

Carpenter Performing Arts Center has announced plans for its upcoming 2012-2013 season, which will offer dance, music, theater, and more.

The season’s highlights will include Holly Hughes and Tim Miller (September 27), Judy Collins’ Holiday Concert (December 22), the song and sketch troop Capitol Steps (January 12), Drumline Live (January 26), Pink Floyd LaserSpectacular (March 15), Makem & Spain Brothers (March 16), and Kronos Quartet performing Sun Rings
(March 23).

The center will also present a Wit and Wisdom series featuring Lily Tomlin, Ira Glass, and The Improvised Shakespeare company. The dance and cabaret series will include Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Backhausdance, Ballet Revolución, Dala, Pieter Meijers Quartet with Brady McKay, Kurt Elling Quintet, and Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three.

The short Sunday Afternoon Concert series will present An Afternoon with Groucho (October 14), New Directions Veterans Choir (November 25), Susan Werner (March 24), and The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra (May 19).
