Betty Buckley, Barbara Cook, Marin Mazzie, Lea Salonga Set for Segerstrom Center for the Arts Season

The Segerstrom Center for the Arts has the productions and performers that will be part of its 2012-2013 season, which will include an engagement of the new stage musical version of the movie Flashdance, running May 7-19.

This musical will be presented as part of the Center’s Broadway series, which will also include eMemphis (November 6-18), The Addams Family (December 18-30), War Horse (January 22 – February 3) , Billy Elliot the Musical (April 16-28), and Sister Act (August 6 – 18).


In addition, the will present productions of Wicked (February 19 – March 17), Catch Me If You Can (June 25-30), and Anything Goes (September 10-15), as part of its Curtain Call series.


In addition, the Center’s Cabaret Series will include appearances by Jane Monheit and John Pizzarelli (October 5), Michael Feinstein, who will offer a concert of The Sinatra Project (October 27), Lea Salonga (January 19), Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley (February 14-16), and Betty Buckley (May 16-18).


This series will also include Barbara Cook 85th Birthday Concert to be offered on April 13, and feature special guests and a conversation with the Broadway legend about her career.


The Segerstrom Center’s 2012-2013 season will also include offerings from New York’s Parallel Exit, Chicago’s 500 Clown, and Canada’s Mermaid Theater, the Mariinsky Ballet, Trey McIntyre Project, Hamburg Ballet, and Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg.
