Scott Porter to Join Rachel Bilson, Nancy Travis in the CW Hart of Dixie Pilot

Scott Porter will play the male lead on CW’s pilot Hart of Dixie, according to a report on Deadline.com.

The show will focus on Zoe Hart, a young doctor (Rachel Bilson) from New York City, who inherits a medical practice in the South. Porter will play Hart’s love interest. As previously reported, stage veteran Nancy Travis has been cast as a no-nonsense nurse on the series.

Porter starred in the Off-Broadway musical Altar Boyz. His film and television credits include The Good Guy, Dear John, Friday Night Lights, and The Good Wife. He will soon be seen on the big screen in Ten Year and as recently announced, will also be featured in Maggie Carey’s film comedy The Hand Job.
