Obie Winner Jason Petty to Star in Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes

Obie Award winner Jason Petty is set to bring his revue, Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes to the El Portal Theatre, May 14-24.

In the show, Petty recreates the sound of Hank Williams and other country artists who were influenced by him, including Jimmie Rodgers, Roy Acuff, Ernest Tubb, The Carter Family, George Jones, and Webb Pierce. Petty will be accompanied by a four-piece band.

Petty won an Obie Award for “Outstanding Actor” for his Off-Broadway production of Hank Williams: Lost Highway, which also garnered him an Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical.
