Fountain Theatre has announced casting information for their upcoming remount of The Accomplices, a play by former New York Times political reporter Bernard Weinraub which the company presented last year. As before, Deborah LaVine will direct this production, which is set to play the Odyssey Theatre, April 25-June 14.

Based on the true story of Jewish activist Hillel Kook (aka Peter Bergson), the play explores what the U.S. government and American Jews did and didn’t do to help Jews fleeing the Nazis during WWII. Weinraub’s play centers on the involvement of historical figures such as FDR, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Breckinridge Long, and American Jewish leader Rabbi Stephen Wise.

The production will feature returning cast members Brian Carpenter, Dennis Gersten, William Dennis Hurley, Gregory G. Giles, and Steven Schub as well as Elizabeth Karr, Annika Marks, Stephen Marshall, Donne McRae, Malachi Throne, and Time Winters.
