Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Powerhouse Theatre’s Testosterone

Powerhouse Theatre will present Hal Ackerman’s autobiographical piece Testosterone: How Prostate Cancer Made a Man of Me, April 18-May 10. Michael Arabian will direct.

Testosterone was originally written as a long prose piece that was published in AARP magazine. After adapting it into a play, Ackerman has presented it in part and in whole at numerous prostate cancer conventions around the country. The piece explores how to define masculinity when the very thing that defines manhood is taken away.

The cast will include Ackerman, Dennis Lee Kelly, and Lisa Robins. The creative team for this production will include Bob Blackburn (sound design), John Iacovelli (set design), and Frank McKown (lighting design).
