Casa 0101 and American Latino Theatre Company’s The King of the Desert, written by Stacey Martino and starring Rene Rivera, has been extended through February 19. The production was originally scheduled to close on February 12. Sal Romeo directs.

The King of the Desert explores the way cultural identity often informs our personal view of ourselves and in turn affects our children. The play strives to present accurate Mexican American history as seen through the eyes of one ordinary man.

The design team features Danuta Tomzynski (set design), Jeremy Pivnick (lighting design), Mat Hale (visual effects), and David B. Marling, Jade Puga, and Richard Montes (sound design).
