Michael Urie Cast in CBS’ Partners Pilot

Stage and television star Michael Urie has landed one of the leads in CBS’ half-hour pilot Partners, according to Deadline.com.


The comedy centers on two lifelong friends and business partners — one straight and one gay.


Emmy Award winner James Burrows is directing the pilot, and actress Sophia Bush has also been cast.


Urie is currently playing Bud Frump in the Broadway production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. His other stage credits include the Off-Broadway productions of The Cherry Orchard, Angels in America, and The Temperamentals. He is best known for his role as Marc St. James on television’s Ugly Betty.
