F. Murray Abraham to Join Darius Campbell in ABC’s Beauty and the Beast Pilot

F. Murray Abraham has joined the cast of ABC’s drama pilot Beauty and the Beast, according to Deadline.com.
As previously reported, the show will be a fantasy retelling of the fairy tale, and feature Darius Campbell as the beast. Abraham will play a trusted, but duplicitous, man of state.
Abraham won an Academy Award for his performance in Amadeus. He is currently starring in the title role in Galileo at Classic Stage Company. Among his many other stage credits are Mauritius, Triumph of Love, and Angels in America on Broadway.
