Joel Zwick to Direct Debra Ehrhardt’s Jamaica, Farewell at Falcon Theater

NAACP award-winner Debra Ehrhardt’s solo show, Jamaica, Farewell, will play The Falcon Theater, March 16-April 17, with an opening on March 25. Tony nominee Joel Zwick will direct.

Based on a mostly true story about the playwright/performer’s journey to the USA from Jamaica in the turbulent 1970s of the Manley Era, the show tells of how one woman risked everything in order to fulfill her lifelong dream of starting over in America.

Ehrhardt’s Mango, Mango received two NAACP Awards, and her additional credits include Invisible Chairs.

Zwick directed the film My Big Fat Greek Wedding. He received a Tony nomination for his choreography for Dance with Me, and also directed the Broadway production of Hershey Felder’s George Gershwin Alone, as well as several other Felder works including Monsieur Chopin, Beethoven As I Knew Him and Maestro.
