James Cromwell and Ed Harris will take part in a reading of Being Harold Pinter to be offered on February 25 at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. The reading will be part of The Global Theatre Project’s Gala Benefit. Proceeds from the event will go toward the Belarus Free Theatre, which created the piece, as well as toward the establishment of a collaborative project between the group; American theatre artists and students; and the Global Theatre Project.

Being Harold Pinter juxtaposes transcripts from Belarusian political prisoners with excerpts from Harold Pinter’s plays, including The Homecoming, Ashes to Ashes, and Old Times, as well as his other writing, such as his Nobel Prize speech. Additional performers for the reading will be announced in the near future.
