Dominic Cooper to Join Benjamin Walker in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Film

Dominic Cooper will join the previously reported Benjamin Walker in the upcoming 20th Century Fox film, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Adapted by Seth Graham-Smith from his novel, the film is about Lincoln (Walker) battling the undead during the Civil War era. Cooper will play Henry Sturges, who mentors Lincoln in vampire hunting. Timur Bekmambetov will direct and co-produce the picture with Tim Burton and Jim Lemley.

Cooper starred in The History Boys on Broadway, the West End, and in the film version. He starred opposite Helen Mirren in London’s National Theater production of Jean Racine’s Phedre, and also played the role of Sky in the film adaptation of Mamma Mia! He was recently seen in the independent film The Devil’s Double at Sundance and will be seen in the forthcoming film, Captain America: The First Avenger.
