Cate Blanchett, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman, Jude Law, Helen Mirren, Gwyneth Paltrow, et al. Set for 83rd Annual Academy Awards

The 83rd Annual Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 27 and be aired live on ABC. Anne Hathaway and James Franco will co-host the ceremony.

Presenters are scheduled to include Amy Adams, Javier Bardem, Annette Bening, Halle Berry, Kathryn Bigelow, Cate Blanchett, Russell Brand, Jeff Bridges, Josh Brolin, Sandra Bullock, Robert Downey, Jr., Jake Gyllenhaal, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Hudson, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman, Mila Kunis, Jude Law, Matthew McConaughey, Helen Mirren, Steven Spielberg, Hilary Swank, Justin Timberlake, Marisa Tomei, Oprah Winfrey, and Reese Witherspoon.

Performers at the event will include Celine Dion, Gwyneth Patlrow, Alan Menken, Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Florence Welch, A.R. Rahman, and Randy Newman.

As previously reported, The King’s Speech received 12 nominations, including Best Picture. The other nominees for Best Picture are Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, The Kids Are All Right, 127 Hours, The Social Network, Toy Story 3, True Grit, and Winter’s Bone.


In addition to Bening, who is nominated for Best Actress for The Kids Are All Right, stage actors who have been nominated include Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), Nicole Kidman (Rabbit Hole), Natalie Portman (Black Swan), Michelle Williams (Blue Valentine), Melissa Leo (The Fighter), Mark Ruffalo (The Kids Are All Right), and Geoffrey Rush (The King’s Speech).
