World Premiere of The Treatment to Play Boston Court PAC

The Theatre @ Boston Court and Theatre Movement Bazaar are to present the world premiere of The Treatment, an adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Ward 6, February 16-March 25 on the Main Stage at Boston Court Performing Arts Center. The production will be directed and choreographed by Tina Kronis.

Written by Richard Alger, The Treatment tells of a complacent doctor whose worldview is upended when he befriends a philosophizing madman in a remote and neglected mental hospital. Chekhov’s investigation of people in positions of power and those they hold captive is fused with ironic humor, dance, and song.

The cast will feature Mark Doerr, Jake Eberle, Nich Kauffman, Matt Shea, Jacob Sidney, Mark Skeens, and swings Frederik Hamel and John Wuchte.

The design team will include Jeff Webster (set design), Chris Kuhl (lighting design), John Zalewski (sound design), Ellen McCartney (costume design), and Heather Ho (props design).
