Octavia Spencer, Kerry Washington to Be Honored at ESSENCE‘s 2012 "Black Women in Hollywood" Luncheon

Honorees have been announced for ESSENCE‘s Black Women in Hollywood luncheon, to be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on February 23.
Kerry Washington, who starred on Broadway in Race, will receive the Vanguard Award. Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Octavia Spencer will be honored for Breakthrough Performance for her role in the film, The Help. Paula Patton will receive the Shining Star Award, Pam Grier will receive the Legend Award, and screenwriter Shonda Rhimes will receive the Visionary Award.
