LA PHIL LIVE’s Gershwin Film to Be Screened on March 18
LA Phil LIVE: Gustavo Dudamel and Herbie Hancock Celebrate Gershwin will be screened at various movie theaters nationwide on Sunday, March 18.
The film, which was recorded at the Philharmonics opening night concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, includes performances of some of George Gershwin’s best-loved works including “An American in Paris,” and “Rhapsody in Blue,” along with exclusive footage of Hancock in his home, playing Gershwin and providing insights into his improvisational process.
