Center Theatre Group to Host Regional Finals of August Wilson Monologue Competition

Center Theatre Group has announced the 15 finalists who will participate in the August Wilson Monologue Competition regional finals, which will be presented at the CTG/Mark Taper Forum on March 26.
The regional competition will select three top Southern California finalists who will then compete in the fifth annual AWMC national finals, to be held on May 7 at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway.
This marks the first time that Southern California students are participating in the program, the goal of which is to introduce high school students to August Wilson’s works and help them find their own voices. Click here to read more about August Wilson.
