Amy Brenneman, Julie Hagerty, Richard Kind, Kathy Najimy, Steven Weber, Bradley Whitford and Amy Yasbeck will perform in Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays at Largo at the Coronet on Monday, January 17 at 8pm. The performance will benefit the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER) and Equality California.

The program is comprised of short plays that look at the institution of marriage and relationships, written by Jenny Lyn Bader, Jordan Harrison, Jeffrey Hatcher, Moisés Kaufman, Neil LaBute, Wendy MacLeod, Kathy Najimy, José Rivera, Paul Rudnick, and Doug Wright. Conceived and directed by Brian Shnipper, these new provocative plays were created in response to the on-going battle for marriage equality throughout the United States.

Standing on Ceremony had its official launch on December 6, and will continue the special limited engagement for three additional Monday nights, January 24 & 31, and February 7. Playwrights and casting for the remaining performances will be announced at a later date.
