Susan Sullivan will play Lady Sneerwell in L.A. Theatre Works’ presentation of Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s The School for Scandal, to perform at the Skirball Cultural Center January 12-16. Michael Hackett will direct the performances.

Sheridan’s comedy of manners centers on London’s elite in the eighteenth century and their penchant for slander and gossip.

Sullivan joins previously reported stars Julian Sands (Joseph Surface), Jane Carr (Mrs. Candour) and Tara Summers (Lady Teazle). The cast will also include Stuart Bunce, John Francis Harries, Henri Lubatti, Christopher Neame, Moira Quirk, Simon Templeman, James Warwick and Matthew Wolf.

The five performances will be recorded for L.A. Theatre Works’ nationally syndicated radio theater series, and can be streamed on demand online.
