Shirley Jo Finney will direct the Fountain Theatre's production of Ifa Bayeza's The Ballad of Emmett Till, to run February 11-March 20. She replaces Ben Bradley, who was killed earlier this month.

Part history, part mystery and part ghost story, Bayeza's music-infused play examines the story of the 1955 murder of 14-year old Emmett Till, whose shocking death helped spark the nascent civil rights movement.

The company will feature Bernard K. Addison, Rico E. Anderson, Lorenz Arnell, Adenrele Ojo ,and Karen Malina White. The creative team will include Scott Siedman (scenic design), Kathi O'Donohue (lighting design), Naila Aladdin-Sanders (costume design), and David B. Marling (sound design).
